How NAD+ Helped Clear My Brain Fog, Boost My Energy & Support Healthy Aging
For a while, I just didn’t feel as sharp or energized as I used to.
I was dealing with brain fog, low energy, and that frustrating afternoon crash that made everything feel harder than it should. I could get through my day, but I didn’t feel like I was operating at my best. My focus wasn’t there, my motivation felt lower, and I found myself wondering: Is this simply what getting older feels like?
That’s when I started learning about NAD+.
What Is NAD+?
NAD+ stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a molecule naturally found in our cells. It plays an important role in cellular energy production, metabolism, DNA repair, and other processes involved in healthy cell function.
Our NAD+ levels can change with age and other factors, which is one reason NAD+ has become such a popular topic in the longevity and wellness world.
I was intrigued, but what really mattered to me was simple: Would I actually feel a difference?
The Change I Noticed
For me, the biggest difference was mental clarity. I would walk into the kitchen and know exactly what I walked in for!
The foggy feeling that had become part of my normal day started to lift. I felt more present and focused, and it became easier to concentrate without feeling mentally drained.
I also noticed a difference in my energy.
It wasn’t the jittery, overstimulated feeling you can get after too much caffeine. My experience was more like having steady, usable energy again. I felt more motivated to work out, get things done, and stay productive throughout the day. No more afternoon crashes.
And that was huge for me.
Why NAD+ Is Getting Attention for Healthy Aging
The anti-aging and longevity side of NAD+ was another reason I became so interested in it.
As we age, NAD+ levels can decline. Because NAD+ is involved in cellular energy production, DNA repair, metabolism, and cellular stress responses, researchers are studying whether supporting NAD+ pathways could play a role in healthier aging.
To me, anti-aging isn’t just about looking younger. It’s about feeling younger from the inside out—having the energy to exercise, the mental clarity to stay engaged, and the motivation to continue doing the things I love.
I started looking at aging differently. Instead of focusing only on wrinkles or what I saw in the mirror, I became interested in what was happening at the cellular level. I knew that if I changed what was happening on the inside the outside would change as well. It did!
That’s what makes NAD+ so fascinating to me.
I Started Feeling Like Myself Again
One of the things we don’t always talk about as we get older is how much we miss feeling sharp, strong, energetic, and motivated.
We may accept fatigue or brain fog because we assume they’re simply part of aging. I had started doing that myself.
My experience with NAD+ made me pay much more attention to cellular health and longevity. It wasn’t about trying to turn back the clock. It was about wanting to feel my best at the age I am now.
Today, NAD+ is one of the wellness tools that I feel made a noticeable difference for me—particularly when it came to mental clarity, sustained energy, and my overall approach to healthy aging.
Aging Is Inevitable. How I Age Matters.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned on my wellness journey, it’s that getting older doesn’t mean I have to stop investing in how I feel.
For me, NAD+ has been part of that journey for 7 years. This was my very first step I took towards my health journey.
Less brain fog. More energy. Better focus. Supporting my cellular health. And most importantly, feeling more like myself again.
I don’t expect anything to stop the aging process. But I do want to give my body the support it needs to stay strong, energized, young and vibrant for as long as possible.
Everyone’s experience is different, and NAD+ therapies have not been proven to reverse aging or guarantee improvements in energy or cognition. Research into NAD+-boosting approaches and their clinical benefits is still developing, so it’s important to talk with a qualified healthcare professional—especially if you’re considering injections, IV therapy, or supplements.
My NAD+ is 1000mg. I reconstitute it with 10 ml of bacteriostatic water and I dose 25 mg 3-4x a week. I find that this dose works for me. It has definitely helped with cognitive function and anti aging. In later post I’ll tell you how I pair it with 5 amino 1mq.
